Well my Dad wanted to buy some of those
tomato plant holders that allow you to hang the plant upside down. Since he is an independent contractor and has a whole bunch of tools I suggested that he make them. I found a couple of tutorials and an instructable online, but I never thought he would follow through with it. I was really surprised to hear that he actually made 4 of them. He went a bit overboard and made this huge setup that suspends the plants. Its pretty cool. I told him he was a hacker/maker, but he did not get it.
Here are some pics:
Plastic container with cloth to hold the soil.
The posts are supported by the deck and they are tall enough to walk under.

Any pics of how they ended up producing toward the end of the growing season?
